Coplay Public Library: Library board, staff thank patrons for continued support
Happy New Year to all from the Coplay Public Library board and staff.
We are enormously grateful for the many kind and thoughtful expressions of support we have received from the community and our patrons.
With the new Spark circulation system and our participation in the Lehigh-Carbon Library Consortium, we have seen our library expand the resources we offer.
We look forward to bringing even more services and programming in the coming year.

Bring your children to storytime with Miss Janice 11 a.m. Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30. A craft project follows the reading.
Children and adults of all ages are invited. No registration is required.

Start the new year with a resolution to come out for game night 5-7 p.m. Jan. 27.
Scrabble remains the king of game night. You may also bring your own game or try another one of ours, such as Connect 4, Uno, Candyland and Twister.
If you or someone you know is interested in learning chess, let anyone working at the desk know. If there is interest, maybe we can explore this idea in the new year.

Now that the holidays are behind us, you might have time for that book you’ve been wanting to read.
If we don’t have the book, it might be available on the Overdrive app for Kindle, Nook or other devices on which you can download an audio or e-book.
If your reading choice is not listed, there are still many other items to choose from.
Learn about Overdrive on the library’s home page, coplaypubliclibrary.org. Click on E-resources, then Libby/Overdrive. You will find instructions using your personal device.
The password is the last four digits of the phone number you wrote on your library registration card.
Your library card must be current to use the Overdrive app.

We are asking for suggestions for programs, events or classes we could hold to make your life a little less chaotic.
Stop into the library anytime and speak to a staff member.

Not yet a member of the LCLC team? Just bring your ID to the library and fill out a registration card.
There is no charge for first-time cardholders.
Your card will enable you to use any of our sister libraries. We can even request items be sent from the other libraries to ours.

We accept book donations all year for our book sales and main floor sales shelves. Check our website and Facebook page for donation guidelines.
We no longer accept VHS tapes, encyclopedias, textbooks, Reader’s Digest condensed books or books that have been damaged by smoke or mildew.

Winter has officially arrived. Our primary concern is the safety of our patrons and staff.
While we make every effort to remain open, there will be times when it will be necessary to close the library. Follow us on the WFMZ Stormcenter and our Facebook page for any closings.
No fines are charged for any days we are closed or close early.
