VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

THE VOLUNTEER CENTER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY will relocate to the Banana Factory on Third Street in Bethlehem March 1, 2020. The nonprofit volunteer resource center has been serving the region for 35 years, connecting more than 25,000 volunteers with 450-plus nonprofit organizations, while partnering with more than 300 businesses annually.

“This move, in connection with our long-standing relationship with Air Products and the opportunity to expand our ability to partner with ArtsQuest - the largest user of volunteers in the Lehigh Valley, is a perfect match,” Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley Executive Director Karen Smith, said. “We anticipate that this move will increase our visibility resulting in our expanded ability to serve the nonprofits and engage the businesses.”

COMPEER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem, seeks volunteers willing to be a friend to someone in need in Lehigh and Northampton counties. Volunteers are matched with a member who is in stable mental health recovery to spend a minimum of four hours a month engaging in activities they both enjoy (talking, walking, playing cards, etc.). NATIONAL MUSEUM OF INDUSTRIAL HISTORY, Bethlehem, is seeking volunteers to welcome guests and sell tickets and merchandise at the lobby admission desk. INDEPENDENT TRANSPORTATION NETWORK (ITNLehighValley) has a rewarding volunteer opportunity as a driver for seniors in the Lehigh Valley area.
