UPPER MILFORD TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS
Upper Milford Township Supervisors gave the final approval Dec. 5 for the 2020 budget of $2,699,993.42 to meet the upcoming year’s expenses. In a response to a question from the audience, Secretary Treasurer Jessi O’Donald, assured attendees this is a “no tax increase” budget.
During the meeting, supervisors approved disbursements for $34,478.18.
Supervisors also approved a waiver for well isolation distance for a property on Garden Alley. A deed of dedication for Lenape Lane and Lenni Circle was also approved.
Lisa Marten, president of the board of trustees of the Emmaus Public Library presented the schedule for the library’s art program for 2020: Pastels with Marianne Knipe lecture 3-4 p.m. Jan. 11; Impressionism with Aryn Coyle lecture 3-4 p.m. Feb. 8; Winners of LAA 2020 Wintered Juried Exhibition 3-4 p.m. March 14; Charcoal and Chalk with Barbara Greco lecture 3-4 p.m. April 11, Water Color with Elena Shackleton lecture 3-4 p.m. May 9; Expressive Brushwork with oils with Carol Perlowski, 3-4 p. m. July 11; Sculpture with Laura Elmore 3-4 p.m. Aug. 8.

There will also be an art exhibit at Emmaus Public Library 3-4 p.m. Dec. 14.
Supervisors also approved the minutes from the Nov. 21 meeting which included a time extension for Omega Contractors for the Indian Mill Creek townhouses.
Supervisors also approved a request for fire police from the Vera Cruz Fire Company to support a planned Christmas Eve service at the Old Zionsville United Church of Christ 4:30-7:45 p.m. Dec. 24 for the 5 p.m. family service and for the 7:30 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.
Supervisor Joyce Moore reported U.S. Rep. Susan Wild, D-7th, read a statement in the House of Representative record and filmed by C-Span, an account of Vera Cruz Fire Company’s response to the Heather Glen Nursing Home Fire.
“She wanted to recognize all of the responders and express how wonderful of a job they do,” Moore said.
