LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. Who are the members of your family: parents, siblings and pets?

A. My parents are Joe and Briana Lighting. I have two older brothers, Ryan and Kyle and a younger sister Mikayla. I have two dogs named Lily and Bandit, a cat named Snoopy and a horse named Banjo.

Q. What do you most enjoy about being a senior at Salisbury High School?

A. The thing I enjoy most about being a senior is setting an example for the other students. I like being looked up to by the younger students.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is English because I enjoy learning about the many different ways a writer can express themselves through the use of their language.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I am currently on the honor roll.

Q. What are your favorite extracurricular activities?

A. I most enjoy horseback riding in my free time. Working with horses from a young age taught me how to listen to others and be patient.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. After high school, I plan to go to Lehigh Carbon Community College to get a veterinarian technician degree.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge to date is my procrastination. I tend to push things off until the last minute and although I still get everything done, it creates a lot of unnecessary stress for me.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I hope to be remembered for being a compassionate person who always can bring someone’s spirits up if they are feeling down.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my parents. From a young age, they taught me to work hard and dream big. My parents are supportive of me and I hope to someday follow in their footsteps by having a positive impact on others the way they did for me.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. I would recommend for my peers to work hard to achieve their goals. We are all capable of great things and we have bright futures ahead of us.
