Margaret M. “Peggy” Bartholomew, 95, former resident of Fullerton, Whitehall Township, died peacefully Dec. 13, 2019. She was the wife of the late Harold A. Bartholomew for 62 years at the time of his death in 2011. They created many fond memories for family and friends at their cabin on Peck’s Pond. Born on the family farm in Vera Cruz, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Hureck) Balascak.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall and enjoyed memberships in Order of the Eastern Star, Rose Croix Chapter 235, Fullerton American Legion Post 367 Ladies Auxiliary and was a lifetime member of the 103rd Infantry Division Woman’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by a brother, Joseph Balascak, of Emmaus. She was a very special and loving aunt to her nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by seven sisters and two brothers.
Memorial contributions honoring her may be presented to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 835 Third St., Whitehall, 18052.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 20 in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 835 Third St., Whitehall, 18052. A viewing will begin 10 a.m. Dec. 20 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Whitehall.
