Jason C. Roeder, 47, of Allentown, died Dec. 14, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife Salma Nelly (Odhiambo) Roeder were married for the last 16 months.

Born Sept. 10, 1972, in Allentown, he was the son of Charles A. and Linda S. (Baer) Roeder of Allentown. He was employed in the Environmental Services Department of St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown campus, for the last 28 years.

A 1991 Parkland High School graduate, he was a member of United Church of Christ, Greenawalds, South Whitehall.

He was a former member of Boy Scout Troop 8, Greenawalds, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout with three palms.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by stepchildren Narkiso Malit and Mary Sylvia Akinyi, both of Kenya; brother Matthew J. Roeder of Allentown; nieces Kaylin and Madison; and cousin Florence Covington of White Oak Lancaster, S.C.
