The Lehigh Valley Knitting Guild will meet 6 p.m. Dec. 19 in the community room at the library.

This is open to anyone who is interested in knitting and crocheting. The guild meets on the first and third Thursday of each month.

The Teen Advisory Board will meet 1:30 p.m. Dec. 21.

TAB is a group of high school students that helps us with programs throughout the year.

If you attend Whitehall High School and would like to join, please come to this meeting.

The library board, Friends of the Library and staff would like to wish all of our patrons a very blessed and merry Christmas season!

The library will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 for the Christmas holiday. Please come in and get your books and movies before Dec. 24.

Just because we are closed does not mean you do not have access to items. If you do not have the new purple library card, please make sure you get the new LCLC card today. You will have access to all of our databases and downloadable items from our website - click on Research and Learn.

POWER Library is an excellent resource, and it is done by the state library. We have a link from our site, and it is free to use by all Pennsylvania residents - whitehallpl.org/powerlibrary.

The adult coloring club continues to meet 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. This club is for anyone 18 and older.

The library has some supplies but invites you to bring your own as well.

The beading club will no longer meet at the library.

We have a wonderful collection of fiction and nonfiction books in the large print area of the library.

Thank you to the Whitehall Lions Club for their donations of funds over the years to help support the large print area.

These books check out for three weeks and may be renewed as needed.

The library will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31.

It will be closed all day Jan. 1, 2020, for the holiday.
