Christmas “Daze”: “Cirque Dreams Holidaze” brings its latest electrifying and reimagined family holiday spectacular to The State Theatre for one performance, 7 p.m. Dec. 19. The extravaganza is a Broadway musical and new Cirque adventure with 20 world-classe acts, 300 costumes and holiday scenes by Broadway director Neil Goldberg. “Cirque Dreams Holidaze” has been hailed by the New York Daily News as “A delicious confection of charm, sparkle and talent by the sleigh-load.” Broadway singers perform original music along with new twists on seasonal favorites such as “Deck The Halls,” “Winter Wonderland” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” On the edge-of-your-seat feats are performed by actors portraying toy soldiers, snowmen, penguins, candles, reindeer, carolers and Santa. Christmas “Elvis”: It’s an Elvis impersonator meets Elves impersonator in “Ryan Pelton: An Elvis Christmas Show,” 8 p.m. Dec. 13, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. Doors open at 6 p.m. Ryan Pelton is an award-winning, Elvis tribute artist, actor and singer-songwriter. He often refers to himself as the “Forrest Gump” of the ETA world, as in “Elvis Tribute Artist.” Pelton won the “Worldwide Images of the King Contest” in 2001 in Memphis. He has performed worldwide, from casinos to fairs, theaters to festivals, production shows to professional sports arenas. Pelton performed with the impersonator production show, “Legends in Concert,” for nearly a decade.
