MACUNGIE POLICE
Jeffrey Steven Hall Jr., 27, of Easton, was taken into custody for simple assault and harassment after he allegedly choked another person, attempted to throw the person down a flight of stairs and forced the person’s head into a wall, breaking the drywall, in an altercation at a location in the 100 block of Brookfield Circle noon Nov. 24, according to Macungie police. Hall also allegedly threw food at the person. He was transported to Lehigh County Prison, according to police.
A 38-year-old female, of Macungie, allegedly was found to have fraudulent inspection stickers on her vehicle during a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Main Street Nov. 10, according to Macungie police. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
A 32-year-old male, of Alburtis, was found to be allegedly driving under the influence after police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Main and Church streets, 3:17 a.m. Nov. 24, according to Macungie police. The male allegedly failed testing at the scene.
Loriann M. Pitoniak, 24, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person in an incident in the 100 block of East Main Street 10:34 p.m. Nov. 14, according to Macungie police. In a media release, police summarized the incident: A 51-year-old person called police after she and Pitoniak were involved in an altercation due to alcohol. The older person attempted to stop Pitoniak from driving. Pitoniak allegedly drove a vehicle at the person then exited the vehicle and struck the person on the left side of the face and nose and the older person fell to the ground. Pitoniak then allegedly returned to the vehicle. The older person got up and reached into the vehicle to retrieve a cellphone. Pitoniak then allegedly began to drive, dragging the 51-year-old person across the lawn of the residence before the person was thrown from vehicle. The 51-year-old person’s head and face struck the ground and the person lost consciousness. Pitoniak was transported to Lehigh County Prison, according to police.
Robert Rehrig, 29, of Allentown, allegedly removed a package from the doorstep of a residence in the 100 block of Linfield Circle Nov. 29 while he was making a delivery there, according to Macungie police. A neighbor in the area witnessed the alleged theft.
A 24-year-old male, of Philadelphia, was transported to Lehigh County Prison and detained on warrants for possession with intent to deliver controlled substances after police responded to the 40 block of Lea Street for the report of door-to-door solicitors in the area.
