At the Nov. 25 Alburtis Borough Council meeting, borough finances were discussed in addition to meeting plans for next year.

After evaluating reports and bills for payments, council discussed two Pennsylvania small water and sewer grants.

One grant covered expenses for stormwater management at the intersection of Chestnut Circle West and Windsor Road.

The borough plans to utilize the second grant for finances involved with the sanitary sewer lateral rehabilitation for the borough’s 2020-2021 Sewer Rehabilitation Program.

In other meeting business, council discussed meeting minute dates for 2020 and solvency fees.

Before adjourning the meeting, council made the decision to continue business with J.P. Mascaro & Sons for trash removal by extending the solid waste contract with the company for a sixth year.
