Hokendauqua Park & Playground Association announces Operation Santa Claus will visit Hokendauqua starting noon Dec. 15.

Santa’s escort will be Hokendauqua Fire Company, so if you hear the sirens, come out and say hello. Santa and his helpers will be handing out oranges and bags of candy.

The last day to drop off gifts is Dec. 13 at the Hokey tree farm, located at the football field. Make sure the gift is wrapped and contains the recipient’s full name and address.

Santa will not exit his sleigh during stops, so if you are expecting a delivery, have everyone out front to receive their gifts or to take pictures with Santa.

There will be two Santa teams this year. Additional information and Santa trackers can be found at hokeypark.com.

First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, 3005 S. Front St., welcomes the public to a Victorian Christmas open house 1-4 p.m. Dec. 15. The open house commemorates the 150th anniversary of the construction of the church.

“With this being the 150th anniversary of our church building, we decided we wanted to celebrate by bringing back the glory days of a Victorian church Christmas,” said the Rev. Christine Kass, pastor of the church.

In addition to Victorian Christmas decorations, tours of the church and the singing of traditional Christmas hymns, the church will have displays of historic items. Guests will also enjoy hot mulled cider and Christmas cookies.
