‘Nutcracker’ lives on for Christmas

In the “Nutcracker” ballet, the toy of the title is damaged, and quickly repaired.

As with the beloved toy, “The “Nutcracker” is alive and well in the Lehigh Valley.

Fans of the “Nutcracker” again have several opportunities to attend performances of the classic Christmas season ballet in the Lehigh Valley.

There will be two performances of each production.

Repertory Dance Theatre of the Lehigh Valley presents its 33rd annual production of the “Nutcracker” Dec. 7 and 8 in Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown. See article on this page.

Moscow Ballet presents the 27th annual “Great Russian Nutcracker” for two performances Dec. 8 in the State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. See article on this page.

The Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley performs its 51st annual “Nutcracker” Dec. 14 and 15 in Zoellner Arts Center, Bethlehem. See the Dec. 11 and 12 Focus edition for a preview article.
