A 68-year-old Alburtis man died after he was struck around 10 a.m. Nov. 29 by a large branch while cutting a tree on his son’s property at 8634 Gun Club Road, New Tripoli.

Lehigh County Coroner Eric Minnich said Mark Garvey was pronounced dead at 12:41 p.m. that day at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Minnich said the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head. The manner of his death was ruled an accident.
