The Allentown Central Catholic High School Drama Club will present the comedy “Fairy Tale Misfits” 7 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 and 2 p.m. Dec. 7. The show is student directed, produced, designed and performed.

National Honor Society sponsored a canned food drive. Students received a dress down day for food they donated.

On Nov. 22 the Red Cross Club sponsored a blood drive and The Pro-Life Club sponsored a diaper drive, which benefited the Cay Galgon Life House (Mary’s Shelter.)

The ACCHS Viking football team fell to Pottsville High School in Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. District XI 4A Football Championship Nov. 16. The score was 34-7.

Prior to that game, the Vikings defeated Northwestern High School 23-22. Great win Vikings and congratulations on a great season! Congratulations to our Eastern Pennsylvania Conference 2019 All-Star nominations Ben Carbonetto: 1st Team All-Conference Offense (Center) and 2nd Team All-Conference Defense (Defensive End) and Lavon Johnson: 1st Team All-Conference Defense (defensive lineman).

Congratulations to the Allentown Central Catholic Scholastic Scrimmage teams who won the Southern Lehigh tournament Nov. 9. Both varsity and junior varsity teams brought home trophies; with both ACCHS JV teams competing against one another in the JV finals! The ACCHS Scholastic Scrimmage Varsity A Team had their first PBS39 match against Southern Lehigh High School. With a score of 285 to Solehi’s 195, the Vikings came away with another big win. Great job by seniors Alan Garger, Christian Lipovsky and Michael Prebosnyak and juniors Jane Kamioner and Harrison DeWalt. Their match Nov. 18 was against Stroudsburg High School.

Help Central Catholic remember the fallen, honor those who serve and teach children the value of freedom. The ACCHS Swim & Dive team will help Resurrection Cemetery to remember and honor veterans by laying remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes noon Dec. 14.
