Cheer is here! On Dec. 3, Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will have its annual Christmas party 11 a.m. in Heidelberg Church’s Fellowship Hall.

All retirees from the community are invited to enjoy an afternoon of food and festivities.

You do not need to be a Heidelberg Church member to attend.

Bring a covered dish to share, and a friend or two, along with an inexpensive wrapped exchange gift so you can play everyone’s favorite and fun game called, “Now you have it. Now you don’t.”

Some folks are on a restricted diet, so no candy.

For information, call Katherine Blose at 610-336-0555 or Eleanor Klevenhagen at 610-841-9803.

True spirit! Requests for baked good donations for the Allentown Soup Kitchen are being made for Dec. 9.

Baked goods of your favorite Christmas cookies will be gratefully accepted and may be dropped off in Heidelberg Church’s Fellowship Hall 6-7 p.m.

According to Heidelberg Church soup kitchen Coordinator Linda Hausamann, 112 hot meals were served recently to the hungry and homeless at the soup kitchen. The meal included eggplant parmesan with cheese, garden salad, roll, fruit and desserts.

Thanks to volunteers who helped serve the meal.

To find out more about helping, call Linda at 610-767-5281.
