LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Board OKs Timber Ridge

Lew Rauch, engineer, and developer Lee Goldstein, representing Timber Ridge development, presented his plan to North Whitehall supervisors during their November meeting.

He proposes 55 and older apartments in six buildings with 14 apartments in each, along Levans Road. Each one- or two-bedroom apartment will have its own garage.

Several waivers and deferrals were requested for the development.

Supervisors approved the plan conditional upon meeting requirements from Keystone Consulting Engineers.

The board OK’d Jessica Koenig as administrative assistant for the township manager.

The proposed 2020 budget was discussed and is expected to be adopted at the December meeting. No tax hike is proposed.

Barry Wexler asked what is happening with the property near his that was cited numerous times with zoning violations. He said nothing is happening and the property is the same as it was in July. Supervisor Mark Hills noted there was a management problem at that time resulting in some things being overlooked.

Christopher Garges, the new township manager, said he would look into the problem.
