HORNET HAPPENINGS

All National Honor Society applications for invited students are due in Room 574 to Mrs. Arnold by the end of the day Nov. 25. Applications will not be accepted after that date.

The Spanish Department will travel to Panama in the summer of 2021 to visit the Panama Canal, colonial area of the Panama City and other places such as nature tours and sightseeing. Students will participate in cultural immersion activities, such as dance lessons, handcraft workshops, etc. For more information, see Mr. Montepeque in Room 236 or Mrs. Fraser.

Habitat for Humanity will host a gingerbread competition 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 7 in the cafeteria. Students can enter individually or as a team for a small fee. Forms can be found outside Room 513 or in the library. Deadline to sign up is Dec. 3.

Seniors interested in taking a free college course during the second semester should see Mrs. Greene in the counseling office to get information on the High School Scholars Program from DeSales University. The deadline for the program is Nov. 20.

The Global Citizens Club will hold its potluck Thanksgiving party Nov. 21 in Room 230 right after school.

Latin Club will hold a meeting 2:35-3 p.m. Nov. 21 after school in Room 232. The club encourages students with an interest in Roman mythology, Latin and Mediterrian culture to attend. This meeting will be about a mythological family rivalry and upcoming trips.

From 1-2 p.m. Dec. 16, there will be an information session for any sophomores and juniors. The session is for any student interested in learning about the Emerging Health Professional Program. If interested, sign up in the counseling office.
