The Bach Choir visited Sheckler Elementary School Nov. 13 and performed for third- and fourth-grade students. As an added part of the entertainment, fourth-grade students in Mr. Anchorstar’s music club even got to play their recorders along with the choir.

Students have been busy carrying on what has become an honored tradition at Sheckler Elementary - creating Christmas cards for our veterans. The cards will be collected by a representative from Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, then distributed to veterans who are in local hospitals, veterans hospitals and personal care facilities.

This is a special way to thank one for his or her service while bringing a smile and some joy over the holiday season.

Sheckler students will be dismissed noon Nov. 22, 25, 26 and 27 for parent-teacher conferences. No breakfast or lunches will be served on these early dismissal days.

School will be closed Nov. 28-Dec. 2 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
