All Catasauqua High School student athletes playing a winter sport are reminded they will not be allowed to practice until all of their necessary winter sports paperwork has been returned to the CHS athletic office.

This should be done as soon as possible as the first official day of the winter sports season was Nov. 18.

Plan on supporting the Catasauqua Community Cares Program weekend backpack program during its second annual craft and vendor show 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 24 at Catasauqua Middle School. There will be vendors, crafters, a Chinese auction, food for purchase and a raffle for a Roku Smart TV.

Donations of chicken noodle soup or macaroni and cheese will be accepted and will get you a free raffle ticket. You do not need to be present to purchase raffle tickets.

If interested, contact C3P@cattysd.org to obtain tickets. The C3P program helps feed 150 Catasauqua Area School District students each weekend.

Tickets for the 97th annual Thanksgiving Day football game between the Catasauqua Rough Riders and Northampton Konkrete Kids went on sale, in both the Northampton Area High School and the CHS athletic offices, Nov. 11.

Tickets remain on sale 8:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m. through Nov. 26.

Nov. 26 will be the last day to purchase presale tickets, which are $6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. All tickets sold at the game will be $7.

Tickets will also be on sale at Hartzell’s Pharmacy, 300 American St., Catasauqua.

Catasauqua Area School District will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 28-Dec. 2.

Classes will resume Dec. 3.
