Troy University

Nick Pirrocco, of Whitehall, graduated from Troy University during term one of the 2019-20 academic year. Pirrocco attended Troy online and graduated with the Master of Science in sport and fitness management.

Term one includes students at Troy’s campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.

University of the Sciences

Jaden Daubert, of Northampton, has been named to the summer 2019 dean’s list at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a “C” and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the summer of 2019. Daubert is a doctor of pharmacy student.

University of the Sciences has prepared students to be leaders and practitioners in the health care and science fields for nearly 200 years. King’s College

Courtney Grim, of Whitehall, was recently inducted into the Tau Pi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society for education. Grim is a junior education major at King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, and the daughter of Scott and Lee Grim. She is also a member of the college’s education and blood council clubs, an orientation assistant and a dean’s list student.

To be a candidate for induction, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade-point average, a commitment to education as a career and “a professional attitude, which assures the member’s steady growth in the field of education.”
