Catasauqua: Church hosts pancake breakfast

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Fourth and Pine streets, will again host a pre-Thanksgiving pancake breakfast 8-11 a.m. Nov. 23.

Featured will be pumpkin and buttermilk pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and tea. Breakfast is dine in only.

Breakfast is by donation, as are the assorted baked pies, breads, etc. Proceeds benefit the discretionary fund, Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

Tickets are not required.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., still has tickets available for its delicious prime rib dinner scheduled for Dec. 14.

The menu also includes a baked potato, salad, roll, butter and dessert.

Reservations are required for seatings at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The deadline for reservations is Nov. 29. Call Janis at 610-440-0073 for tickets, prices or other information.

Proceeds benefit the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors.

Don’t miss out on the Twelve Days of Basketball winter break program at Suburban North Family YMCA, 880 Walnut St.

Kids in grades 5-8 are welcome to join the YMCA noon-4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 10-11 a.m. Saturdays from Dec. 20 to Jan. 4, 2020.

This free program will feature food, fun games and prizes.

Did you know basketball was first invented by Dr. James Naismith in December 1891 at a YMCA? Join us to celebrate.

YMCAs have been known for their basketball programs, emphasizing fun, teamwork, sportsmanship and inclusion for all.
