Zephs Kate Bonshak is girls soccer MVP

The East Penn Conference announced its boys and girls soccer all-stars recently.

Whitehall’s Kate Bonshak took home league MVP honors. It marks the second-straight year the senior forward was named MVP, as she scored 21 goals on the season and recorded nine assists.

Liberty goalkeeper Blake Koski (senior) took home boys MVP honors and Liberty head coach Ian Larimer was named Coach of the Year.

The Hurricanes had three first-team all-stars, as senior defender Maxwell Molloy and senior midfielder Chris Schray also made the list. The Hurricanes finished the regular season 16-2 and earned the top-seed in the EPC playoffs

Senior forward Kresstoph Whittick of Whitehall was named to the first team for the boys. Junior Nate Walker made the second team as a defender. Another WHS defender making the team was Abdul Ojulari-Sulyman, a senior, who made the third team. Jake Gier was a third team forward as a junior.

The WHS made it all the way to the district finals before falling to Emmaus.

Sofia Pittas, a senior, was named a second team defender from Whitehall for the girls.
