The “Lowdown”: It’s appropriate that Boz Scaggs’ latest album is “Out of the Blues” since the blues is what first sparked his five-decade musical career. For the second time, singer-songwriter Boz Scaggs takes the stage, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. The concert is rescheduled from the June 21 show that was postponed at the State. Tickets for that show are being honored for the Nov. 19 performance. Noone better: Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone is back for a career-encompassing concert, 8 p.m. Nov. 15, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. Doors open at 6 p.m. Noone, lead singer for 1960s’ chart-toppers Herman’s Hermits, is expected to sing the group’s hits, among them, “I’m Into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter,” “I’m Henry VIII, I Am,” “Silhouettes,” “Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat,” “There’s A Kind of Hush” and “The End of the World.” Herman’s Hermits sold more than 60 million recordings and had 14 singles and seven albums that went gold. Trio’s “Honor”: The Laurence Hobgood Trio performs in the “Jazz Upstairs” series 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15, Rodale Community Room, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown. The trio is Laurence Hobgood, above, piano; Sam Minaie, bass, and Jared Schonig, drums. Grammy recipient and multiple-Grammy nominee Hobgood has enjoyed a 30-year career that has taken him to many of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The trio’s debut CD, “Honor Thy Fathers,” is a tribute to Hobgood’s father.
