Northampton: Church plans bag bingo for Nov. 16
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1235 Main St., is planning a designer bag bingo Nov. 16, featuring Kate Spade, Fossil, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley and Coach items. Doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo starts 1 p.m.
A ticket includes 20 games of bingo. Specials will be sold separately.
A Chinese auction will also be held.
Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Proceeds benefit the church’s building fund.

Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., is holding a nut roll sale. Choices include apricot, lekvar, nut, poppy seed, red raspberry and pumpkin/cheese.

Danielle O’Brien from 3d Dance Studio in Northampton has been nominated for the Greatmats National Dance Instructor of the Year.
She is one of 29 dance teachers from across the Unites States vying for the award, which honors instructors who have made a positive impact in the lives of their students and communities. These instructors have been nominated by members of their respective communities.
An online vote will take place through Nov. 28 at greatmats.com/2019-greatmats-national-dance-instructor-of-the-year.php.
The two instructors with the most votes will be named finalists. The winner will be chosen based on demonstration of service, community impact, integrity and quality of instruction.
The winner will be announced Dec. 13.

Northampton Area Food Bank is hosting the 10th anniversary of Judy’s Little Santa Shop 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 7 at East Allen Township Fire Department, 5354 Nor-Bath Blvd.
Children who utilize the food bank are invited to come and shop for gifts for their immediate family. There is no charge.
Santa and special guests Mickey and Minnie will be there.
