CONGRATULATONS
Longtime reporter and photographer Loretta Fenstermacher has decided to retire.
This is not the first time but editors at The Press previously have been able to convince her otherwise.
Fenstermacher first had her work published in the East Penn Press April 13, 2005. Her son kept the article and had it framed which continues to hang on her wall.
Readers may have met her as she covered East Penn School District board meetings, Alburtis Borough Council, Emmaus Borough Council, many other meetings, activities at schools, student of the week interviews, Chili Pepper Festivals, fiddle festivals and activities with the various fire companies. She covered egg hunts, basket raffles, church events, police activities and even a homicide in Alburtis. If she was available, she would say yes to covering events.
We wish her the best of health and prosperity in her retirement and thank her for her many years of commitment to The Press.
Editor’s Note: Yes, I did try to talk her out of it this time but was unsuccessful! Debbie Galbraith
