Woman’s Club of Whitehall Township has recognized Hallie Kern as the Girl of the Month for October.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Kern, of Whitehall.
Kern has earned high honor roll for all marking periods.
She is a four-year member of the student focus group, S.A.D.D. Club, SERVE Club and Zephyr Nation. She is a member of Interact Club and Spanish Club as well.
Kern has been a peer mentor for two years and is a member of the new student ambassador group.
She was captain of the field hockey team for two years.
Kern is a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and the Science, English and Spanish honor societies.
She was named an Artist of the Year and received the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Award and an AP Scholars award.
Kern is part of Marojoka Field Hockey Club. She takes part in the Whitehall-Coplay Communities That Care group.
In addition to working part time, Kern volunteers with Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative’s summer breakfast program, Miracle League and Special Olympics.
She plans to major in biology at Bryn Mawr College, where she will continue playing field hockey. She wants to attend medical school and become a surgeon.
