Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will hold “Veterans Awareness Week,’ Nov. 11-14.
LCCC will continue the “Faces of Honor” tribute with banners displayed in the Student Union on the Schnecksville campus.
A Veterans Day flag ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 11 at the flagpole outside the Student Services Center.
The LCCC Foundation and Veterans Club third annual “LCCC Military Bingo Night” is Nov. 14. Doors open at 5 p.m. Bingo begins at 6 p.m. in the Community Services Center. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Those with a military ID will receive a free hot dog and three special games.
Proceeds go to Women Veterans Empowered and Thriving, a Lehigh Valley nonprofit designed to reintegrate women veterans utilizing writing and performance workshops.
Two $500 Veteran-Military Scholarships will be awarded to LCCC veteran or military students, dependents or spouses for the spring 2020 or fall 2020 semesters.
CyberSecure Solutions, A Netizen Company, is sponsor of Veterans Awareness Week again this year. The company was named one of the Best Places to Work in 2019 by Inc. Magazine, and the 2018 Veteran Owned Business of the Year by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
