Lehigh Carbon Community College’s (LCCC) Teacher Education department hosts the annual “Super Saturday” teacher education seminar, featuring “The Community Action Poverty Simulation,” 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Nov. 2, Lisa Jane Scheller Community Services Center (CSC), main campus, Schnecksville.
Registration is at 7:30 a.m. Sessions include information on behavior strategies, selecting authentic literature for an inclusive classroom, understanding the Adverse Childhood Experience Study, and creating places of belonging in early childhood education classrooms.
Workshops meet Department of Human Services and Keystone Stars and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) requirements. Training certificates will be awarded participants.
There is a nonrefundable fee required before the day of the event, which includes training sessions and guided tours of the Fowler Education Center with proceeds to benefit the Teacher Education Resource Scholarship Foundation. LCCC students can attend for free.
