Zephyr Elementary School is continuing its annual Autumn Antics.

• Oct. 31 - dress for success day

• Nov. 1 - wear a farmer flannel

Whitehall-Coplay Middle School’s picture retake day is Nov. 7.

If your child has not had his or her pictures taken or if you would like to have your child’s photo retaken, bring payment or your first original photo package.

There will be no school Nov. 8 due to a professional development day.

Zephyr Elementary’s book bingo will be held 6 p.m. Nov. 12. Doors open 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for 10 games. There will be a raffle and snacks for sale at the event.

Marching Zephyr Band has a goal to collect 100 bags of gently used or new shoes (25 pairs a bag) by Nov. 15, and it needs your help! To donate any unwanted shoes, drop them off in the bins located by the band room and in the main office at Whitehall High School.

Any type and size of shoe is acceptable as long as if they have no holes or rips if used.

Sign-ups for WHS winter sports - boys and girls basketball, boys and girls swimming and wrestling - are underway now until Nov. 18. Stop by the WHS athletic office anytime to pick up your winter sports packet.

The WHS swim team is hosting a designer purse bingo Dec. 7 at Egypt Memorial Park pavilion, Hillcrest Lane and Curt Simmons Drive. Doors open 4:30 p.m., and games begin 6 p.m.

There will be specials, a Chinese auction, food for purchase and more. Featured designer purses will be Kate Spade, Coach and Michael Kors.
