Making good on his desire to provide opportunities for community input, newly appointed Salisbury Police Department Chief Kevin J. Soberick, along with several other department officers, hosted a Coffee with a Cop event at the South Mall Starbucks Coffee Company store Oct. 14.
Soberick listened as a number of township residents took the opportunity to ask questions about department activities and to let the officers know of areas in the township where vehicular traffic, or vandals, indicate a trouble spot.
Children visiting the shop with a parent on a school holiday had a chance to have a cellphone photo snapped with a policeman and to take home a few giveaway trinkets.
The police department’s canine, Miklo, along with handler K-9 Officer Brian Zulic, also greeted visitors.
