The program A World of Food will be presented 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24.
Learn how to navigate the library’s two food-themed databases: A to Z Food America and A to Z World Food. These databases will provide new recipes to spice up your repertoire and background information on some of the things you like to eat.
A to Z World Food is the only food database that contains traditional recipes from 174 countries of the world in all course categories - appetizers, soups, salads, breads, main courses, side dishes, desserts, snacks and beverages.
A to Z World Food is also the only database that covers food culture for 174 countries of the world in six categories - national cuisine, regional cuisine, daily meals, dining etiquette, special occasion foods and food trivia. It features 174 countries, 9,000 food photos, 1,700 food quotes and 1,400 food articles, plus other food-related information.

A Halloween carnival event is set for 1-2:30 p.m. Oct. 26. The library’s Teen Advisory Board will have activities for young children to play and win some prizes.
Everyone is invited to wear a Halloween costume, come on in and have some fun!

Creation Station runs 6:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of every month. The school-aged children can come and make the creation for that month.
The next Creation Station event will be 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5.

Mark your calendar for the library’s annual book sale, to be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 22 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 23.
At the annual used book sale, you can find new and gently used books and media. There will also be a table full of holiday items and one with yummy treats for sale.
There will be a $5 bag sale noon-3 p.m. Nov. 23. Bring any sized bag!
