Northampton Area Food Bank is sponsoring a Halloween walkathon Oct. 26. Registration starts 8:30 a.m. at the food bank, 1601 Canal St. The walk, approximately 4.5 miles, will begin 9 a.m.

Walkers are encouraged to collect pledges to support the food bank.

Monthly breakfasts have resumed at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 2181 Washington Ave. The next event will be held 8:30 a.m.-noon Oct. 27.

The menu includes French toast, pancakes, scrambled eggs, omelet, ham, sausage, bacon, creamed chipped beef, hash browns, toast; and juice, coffee or tea.

Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., is holding a nut roll sale. Choices include apricot, lekvar, nut, poppy seed, red raspberry and pumpkin/cheese.

Mark your calendar for the first Jennifer D. Hendershot Memorial Basket Social 1-5 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Northampton Fire Department, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive.

A reminder to those who are donating baskets/gift cards: They must be turned in by Oct. 25.

Hendershot was a 2003 graduate of Northampton Area High School and attended both Northampton Community College and East Stroudsburg University.
