1969 classes reunite

Over 270 members and guests from the Liberty and Freedom high school classes of 1969 attended two 50th reunion events Sept. 14 and 15, at the Clubhouse Grill on Saturday and the Edge Restaurant on Sunday. Smiles and hugs were evident everywhere as long-ago classmates renewed friendships, reminisced, and brought each other up to date with their lives. The class of 1969 reunion included graduates from both Bethlehem high schools because Freedom HS opened for the 1967-68 school year and members of the class of 1969 became the second graduating class at Freedom, after spending their sophomore year at Liberty. Planning for the reunion was handled by a committee comprised of Joanne Story Tott, Carol Chamberlain Ritter, Debby Miller Dorward, Kay Coursen Smith, Dawn Oetter Roman, Elaine Stair Keinert, Peggy Yeager Mosser, and Lynette Lambert Habingeither. Music was performed at the Edge by the group, The Verdict.
