Armed robbery reported at Hanover jewelry store

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, is investigating an armed robbery that took place Oct. 10 at Kay Jewelers in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

According to the report, officers were called to 944 Airport Center Drive just after 10 a.m. A male, described as wearing a black hoodie and ski mask and carrying an orange bag, walked into the store, pointed a handgun at employees and stole about $20,000 worth of jewelry and $140 in cash from the register, police said.

He reportedly fled the area on foot, turning right out of the store.

Troop M forensic services and criminal investigation units are involved in the investigation. Anyone with information about this event is asked to call the Bethlehem barracks at 610-861-2026.
