LOWHILL TOWNSHIP: Trunk or treat in the grove Oct. 19 at Christ’s Church at Lowhill

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Church Road, New Tripoli, will have a trunk or treat in the grove 3-6 p.m. on Oct. 19. Rain date is from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 26.

There will be a goodie walk, food and apple dumplings for sale, apple cider, piñata, s’mores at the fire pit, and prizes awarded for the best trunk. For more information, call Sue at 610-395-0723.

The church is accepting orders until Oct. 13 for the R&K Italian, turkey, ham, roast beef and American hoagie and sandwich sale. Also available are turkey and all cheese on whole grain hoagies and bread.

Pretzel roll sandwiches include Italian, ham and cheese, ham and Swiss, turkey and cheese, roast beef and cheese, sweet bologna and cheese, all cheese, chicken, egg or tuna salad. Pick up is 4:30-6 p.m. Oct. 21 at the church.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville, Orefield, is accepting orders until Nov. 10 for its candy sale.

Choose from half-pound or 1 pound light or dark chocolate peanut clusters, light or dark chocolate raisin clusters, light or dark chocolate cashew patties, light or dark chocolate peanut butter, light or dark chocolate covered pretzels, and more.

Pick up is 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 14.

The church’s spaghetti dinner will take place 4-7 p.m. Nov. 2.

Menu includes spaghetti with homemade meatballs, salad, Italian/garlic bread, beverages and homemade desserts. Tickets will be available at the door.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, will celebrate OTTERtoberfest Oct. 12.

There will be a vast selection of gourmet food, craft and gift vendors stations, DIY crafts and activities for children.

Live German music courtesy of the Happy Dutchmen German Band will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Trick-or-Treating at Boo at the Zoo is scheduled for Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27.

There will be a variety of candy and treat stations, pumpkin painting, costume contests, and music from noon to 2 p.m. courtesy of DJ Ray from Fling-A-Things.

A line up of interactive experiences, including spooky animal mingles 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., tours inside the Lorikeet Landing, as well as a chance to hand-feed the giraffes lettuce, will be offered.
