Whitehall Township Public Library: Library will host Girl Scout program on food conservation

One of our local Girl Scouts is working on her Gold Star, and she will present a program at the library titled “Reduce Plate Waste.”

The program is scheduled for 11 a.m. Oct. 14 in the library community room.

Learn about food conservation and how you can help minimize waste through interactive games and stories. A craft will follow the lesson.

The program is designed for children ages 4-7, but anyone may attend this free informational event.

You still have time to buy your basket raffle tickets. The drawing will be noon Oct. 14, and winners will be called that day.

If you do not pick up your basket by Oct. 21, another ticket will be drawn, and the basket will go to the new winner. You do not need to be present to win.

Some of the themed baskets on display include IronPigs, baby, dog/cat, Christmas, fall, Halloween, kids’ items, laundry, teeth cleaning, movie night and more.
