Firefighters from the Vera Cruz and Zionsville fire stations of the Upper Milford Fire Department held their annual community day activities at the Upper Milford Township municipal building complex Oct. 5.
Fire, ambulance and Pennsylvania State Police units attended as well. The Lehigh County Emergency Services command and communications vehicle and a medevac helicopter were a draw for youngsters and their parents and grandparents. A bounce house and games also drew youngsters and The Miller-Keystone Blood Center Bloodmobile held a donor drive during the community day. Firefighters helped youngsters pose for cellphone photos decked out in fire turnout gear for a souvenir remembrance of the day’s activities.
