St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will host its 10th annual basket social Oct. 11-13.

The event will run 5-7 p.m. Oct. 11, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 12 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 13.

There will be more than 200 baskets and gift cards. For the 10th anniversary, three baskets will have a hidden monetary prize. There will be several big-ticket items of gift cards, services, items and prizes. Food will be available for purchase all weekend.

All-you-can-eat monthly breakfasts at St. Elizabeth’s will resume 8:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 13 in the church social hall.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be having a Confirmation retreat 6-9 p.m. Oct. 19. Topics discussed will be worship, church architecture and more. There will be time for fun as well, including a church scavenger hunt.

This retreat is one requirement for Confirmation. Peer mentors in grades 9-12 are welcome and urged to attend.

St. John’s UCC reminds all to keep your Redner’s receipts coming. A big thank you to Sally Gibson for her part in gathering the receipts, tallying the totals and preparing the necessary forms needed in order for St. John’s to keep receiving money.
