U. Macungie police officers honored

Three of Upper Macungie’s finest recently received recognition for a good deed in which they were involved.

Police Officers David Malischewski, John Sassaman and Philip Shedaker were instrumental in saving the life of a person who was in cardiac arrest.

In other matters, the Lehigh Motor Inn project in Kuhnsville will be moving along, according to owner Nimu Desai. All the buildings will be razed except one, which will be kept as a construction building and demolished at a later date.

Correction of the swale problem at Blue Barn Road was projected to cost an estimated $225,000, which includes installing a pipe.

Supervisors said this was too costly and opted to mow the swale more often in an effort to help alleviate the problem.
