Steckel Elementary School parents/guardians: Make sure you park in a parking space or the loop when picking up your child. It makes it very difficult for the buses to get through if parents/guardians are double-parked.

Whitehall-Coplay Middle School announces its ZephyrTough Employee of the Month program. If your child has a favorite teacher or staff member who has gone above and beyond, students, as well as parents and other colleagues, will have the opportunity to recognize the teacher or staff member.

Visit whitehallcoplay.org, go to WCMS’ page and follow the link to vote for the ZephyrTough Employee of the Month. Be sure to fill in all the fields of this form.

There are a lot of amazing staff members out there, and it is time to give some recognition!

Whitehall-Coplay School District believes daily attendance in school is an extremely important factor in your child’s educational experience and success. The Pennsylvania Department of Education is monitoring attendance records in all state school districts.

Even at the earliest age of kindergarten and first grade, students are building the foundations of reading and math skills that will affect their future learning skills. Parents/guardians should plan vacation and travel during the holidays or during periods when classes are not in session. Doctors appointments should be planned after the school day.

If your child is absent, a written note is required within three days with a specific reason and a parent/guardian signature. Failure to do so will make this day an illegal absence. After six illegal absences, a meeting will be arranged with building principals.

Thank you for your cooperation and your efforts in monitoring your child’s attendance.
