St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., is hosting a designer purse bingo 1:30 p.m. Oct. 6 to benefit Team Coltan and Make-A-Wish.

Coplay Democratic Club is holding its fall meeting 1 p.m. Oct. 6 at Paulie’s Restaurant, 1214 Chestnut St.

There will be candidates, or their representatives, in the Nov. 5 election at this meeting.

St. Peter Roman Catholic Church will have a pork and sauerkraut or turkey dinner 4-7 p.m. Oct. 12 in the church hall. The meal is open to the public.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., will host a blessing of the animals service 2 p.m. Oct. 13 in the church parking lot.

Mark your calendar now for the Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association Halloween parade Oct. 15.

The parade begins 7 p.m. on Chestnut Street. The parade route travels south down Second Street and disbands at Hokendauqua Street.

Among the parade participants are the Whitehall Marching Zephyr Band and the East Hills Middle School Band from the Bethlehem Area School District.
