BSA EAGLE COURT OF HONOR

Dante Brady recently received the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor ceremony held Sept. 8 at the Wescosville Recreation Center, Hamilton Boulevard.

He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 131, which is sponsored by Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville.

Dante is the son of Tara Brady and grandson of Judy and Philip Brady, of Lower Macungie Township. He started in Cub Scouts with Pack 131. He earned the Arrow of Light and the God and Family Award. As a Boy Scout with Troop 131, he progressed through the ranks and held leadership positions including assistant patrol leader, Troop scribe and den chief.

Dante was elected to the Order of the Arrow and completed his Ordeal. He also participated in an adventure trip to Sea Base. He has earned 44 merit badges.

For his Eagle project, Dante worked with the Synergy Project which is a street outreach program for homeless and runaway youth who are 21 years old and younger. He organized and led events that enabled him to collect, sort, label and pack over 30 bins of survival supplies and equipment, including all kinds of clothing, shoes, boots, coats, jackets, sleeping bags, sheets, blankets, quilts, food, camping equipment and food gift cards.

Dante is a sophomore at Emmaus High School and plans to attend college after he graduates.

He also plays soccer and is a second-degree black sash in Kung Fu at Lehigh Valley Martial Arts in Emmaus.
