134TH DISTRICT
State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, will host a shredder event for residents in Lower Macungie Township on Oct. 5.
The event will be offered 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot outside of Mackenzie’s district office at the township administration building, 3400 Brookside Road.
Residents may shred up to four boxes of sensitive documents per vehicle. Boxes should be the approximate size of carry-on luggage.
These events are for paperwork displaying or containing information such as bank account or Social Security numbers, birth dates and other sensitive or identifying information.
Residents are asked to not bring old phone books, magazines, birthday cards, folders, newspapers and junk mail because these items can be recycled curbside. There is no need to remove staples or paper clips. Documents should be removed from binders and notebooks.
Due to the popularity of the shredder events, residents are reminded items for shredding will not be accepted before the start time of the event and each vehicle will be limited to four boxes. The shredder events are for residents only, not businesses.
For additional information, contact Mackenzie’s district office at 610-965-9933.
