As we arrive at midseason of the poll, it’s become quite clear that Nazareth is one of the most fun teams to watch in the area, as well as the top squad.

The Blue Eagles made plenty of mistakes in last week’s win over Bethlehem Catholic, but still walked away with a convincing win. It shows that even on a bad night, the Anthony Harris-led squad is a problem for teams to handle.

The Blue Eagles have another hurdle this week taking on Parkland, but unless someone finds a way to stop Harris, nobody will be taking down the Blue Eagles.

Easton is also making strides in the poll as they pulled off a 27-26 win at Emmaus last week, but now enters the hard part of its schedule down the stretch with Central, Freedom, Bethlehem Catholic, Parkland and Nazareth to round out things. The Rovers are good, but nobody really knows how good yet.

In the Colonial league, Southern Lehigh still is king for now and there’s a new team in the poll from the north just in time for a pivotal showdown this week.
