Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, will have its 250th anniversary Harvest Home service and communion 10 a.m. Sept. 29.

Some members of the congregation will be wearing Colonial attire.

Lehigh County Agricultural Society President Bev Gruber will share special remarks as they celebrate and bless God’s provisions.

All food items will benefit the food pantry.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is hosting a pumpkin painting contest 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 29.

Purchase a pumpkin from the zoo’s pumpkin patch. The paints and brushes will be supplied.

The top five photos will be posted to the zoo’s Facebook page for audience voting. The pumpkin with the most likes/comments will be the winner of a zoo prize pack.

The zoo’s fall corks and canvas event, now named paint and sip, will be offered Oct. 4 at Raymour and Flanigan, 1937 Whitehall Mall, Whitehall.

There will be an animal presentation at 7 p.m. with one of the zoo’s resident owls. Painting will begin 7:30 p.m. and run to 9 p.m.

Ticket price includes light snacks, one 9-inch by 12-inch canvas, all acrylic paints and brushes, photo of the zoo’s owl to take home and one general admission ticket to the zoo.

Proceeds will go toward the care of the zoo animals.
