Whitehall Township Public Library: Basket social runs Sept. 30-Oct. 14
The library’s annual basket raffle begins Sept. 30. The event ends noon Oct. 14.
You do not need to be present to win. Winners must pick up their basket by Oct. 21.
Special basket themes include IronPigs, Halloween, autumn, Christmas, baby, cat, dog and more.

Stop by and see us at the Whitehall Fall Festival, to be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 5 at Whitehall High School, 3800 Mechanicsville Road.
The library’s booth will have free books, stickers, candy, bookmarks and other goodies for folks to take home.

One of our local Girl Scouts is working on her Gold Star, and she will present a program at the library titled “Reduce Plate Waste.”
The program is scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 9 and 11 a.m. Oct. 14 in the library community room.
Learn about food conservation and how you can help minimize waste through interactive games and stories. A craft will follow the lesson.
The program is designed for children ages 4-7, but anyone may attend this free informational event.

Mark your calendar for a free program called “A World of Food” to be presented 6:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 24.
Learn how to navigate the library’s two food-themed databases: A to Z Food America and A to Z World Food. These databases will provide new recipes to spice up your repertoire and background information on some of the things you like to eat.
