LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. What grade are you in?

A. I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. Honors anatomy and physiology is my favorite subject. The curriculum in this class includes learning about the fascinating human body while actively participating in various labs. Its content provided me with the knowledge that I want to pursue a medical career in my future.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I have received the Eisenhower Leadership Award, Widener University Leadership Award, as well as various awards within the realms of soccer.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. I have been on the varsity soccer team at Salisbury for all four years and I also play on a club soccer team. The clubs I am involved with in school include Best Buddies, Key Club, No Place for Hate, SGA, G.I.V.E. and Student Advisory.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. After high school, I intend on going on to study at a four year institution (which has not yet been decided). I plan on majoring in biology, then attending medical school.

Q. What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A. So far, I would say that my biggest challenge has been discovering and sticking to my values throughout all aspects of life. No matter how busy or difficult life becomes, I try to remember my purpose and live with intention.

Q. What do you want to be remembered for?

A. I want to be remembered as the person who anyone felt comfortable with approaching when in need of a friend. I want to be remembered as an empathetic person who would help anyone in need, whether that be with a simple smile shared or any larger task.

Q. Who is in your family?

A. My mother Milissa, my father Keith, my older sister Caitlin, my younger sister Hanna and my younger brother EJ.

Q. Do you have someone you look up to?

A. I look up to my grandmother, who I call my Mom-Mom. She constantly seeks ways in which we can share knowledge-obtaining experiences together. She had some tough experiences in her life but never fails to love others. She would stop anything to help anyone and values her family over absolutely everything, which are two qualities I cherish immensely.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Advice that I would provide to my peers includes not being afraid to stand for what you know is right. You may be given a difficult time initially after this decision, but you will never regret acting according to your values.
