St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will hold its annual blessing of the pets 7:45 a.m. Oct. 2 in the church parking lot.

All animals must be on a leash or in a carrier.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be having a basket social 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6.

The church needs people to make baskets for the social. Let Kenda Catalini know if you can help out. All baskets will need to be at the church by Oct. 5.

The Golden Agers of St. Elizabeth’s will meet 1:30 p.m. Oct. 11.

There will be beautiful baskets and delicious food at a reasonable cost.

St. John’s UCC fundraising committee will be sponsoring a Mad Hatter’s Unbirthday tea party in Fox Hall 1 p.m. Oct. 12.

The event is open to everyone of all genders and ages.

The menu includes tea breads, scones, finger sandwiches, various desserts and tea.

There will be special favors, door prizes, raffles and your friends from Wonderland.
