Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will hold its next free community lunch 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sept. 28.

There is no cost for lunch, but donations are accepted.

A Pennsylvania Master Gardener will discuss “compost, the single most important supplement you can give your garden,” according to Catasauqua Garden Club. The meeting is set for 1 p.m. Oct. 2 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.

Members should have their artistic and horticultural entries in place early, so the meeting can start on time.

Inquisitive garden-friendly folks are always invited to attend.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, Second and Pine streets, will hold a basket social, bake sale and flea market 4-7 p.m. Oct. 4 and 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 5.
