The Allentown Health Bureau and its partner agencies will conduct a car seat check event as part of National Child Passenger Safety Week, which runs from Sept. 15-21.

The safety check will take place 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 21 at Lehigh Valley Pediatrics, 401 N 17th St, Allentown.

The car seat check event is open to the public.

In Pennsylvania, children under the age of two must be secured in a rear-facing car seat, and children under the age of four must be restrained in an approved child safety seat.

Children must ride in a booster until their 8th birthday.
